Minute Taker / Recording Secretary

The position of Minute Taker requires attendance of meetings held at various multi-residential buildings.

Your role will be to accurately understand and summarize meeting discussions and outcomes, in a clear, concise, and neutral fashion.

In addition to strong listening and comprehension skills,  minute taking requires a strong ability to follow structure/format guidelines as provided.

Comprehensive training will be provided.

Required skills and experience:

  • Full command of the English language
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Word
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills
  • Keen attention to details
  • Organized including an impeccable ability to be on time.
  • Previous minute taking experience is an asset, however training will be provided.
  • Ability to summarize a live conversation between various attendees is essential.
  • Experience in some form of business governance or office administration is required to ensure a strong understanding of the meeting topics.

Must provide own:

  • Laptop and writing tools
  • Transportation

Meetings will be held in various locations (or via Zoom) in your assigned area with meetings typically lasting about 2 hours.
