Minute Taker / Recording Secretary
The position of Minute Taker requires attendance of meetings held at various residential buildings.
Your role will be to accurately understand and summarize the meeting topics and their outcomes, in a clear, concise, and neutral fashion.
In addition to strong listening and comprehension skills, the minute taker will also require a strong ability to follow structure guidelines as provided.
Training will be provided, and an ability to accurately apply the concepts learned is required.
Required skills and experience:
Full command of the English language
Good understanding of Microsoft Word
Excellent writing and grammar skills
Keen attention to details
Organized including an impeccable ability to be on time.
Previous minute taking experience is an asset, however training will be provided.
Ability to summarize a live conversation between approximately 5-6 people is essential.
Experience in some form of business governance or office administration is required to ensure a strong understanding of the meeting topics.
Must provide own:
Laptop and writing tools
Meetings will be in various locations in your assigned area with typical meeting start times from 6 to 7 p.m. on weekdays Monday to Thursday. Occasionally, day meetings are also available.
